Epsomedical provides glaucoma clinics at both Cobham and Epsom. We accept referrals for all new suspect glaucoma or ocular hypertension patients, including established glaucoma patients who would like monitoring closer to home.
The team consists of consultant ophthalmologists, specialist glaucoma optometrists, optometrists and glaucoma trained health care assistants. We are proud of the continuity of care we can offer with our small team, which is very important in a chronic condition like glaucoma. We provide one-stop assessment, monitoring and treatment. Both sites are equipped with Visual Field, OCT and pachymetry. If surgery or laser is required, the patients will be transferred to a hospital of their choosing.
In addition to the main Glaucoma Service, Epsomedical is a provider of Stable Glaucoma Monitoring, a community service set up by Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Board. In these clinics, selected patients will be monitored by the glaucoma–trained optometrist and the glaucoma specialist nurse.
