Common conditions referred include a range of bladder problems – incontinence, retention, urinary tract infections, haematuria affecting both men and women – as well as specifically male problems such as testicular pain, prostatism and erectile dysfunction.
Ultrasound tests are available at Cobham arranged directly by GPs or via the specialist.
We carry out flexible cystoscopy procedures on an outpatient basis at both Epsom and Cobham: these are procedures that allow the surgeon to see inside the bladder for diagnostic purposes. In addition, we carry out a range of theatre procedures including cystoscopies, circumcisions, hydrocele repair and epidydimal cyst removals.
Patients requiring inpatient procedures would normally be treated at Ashtead Hospital on the NHS or transferred to their local Trust.
Urgent Suspected Cancer should not be referred to Epsomedical.
